Earth Drake being here is optional, but I find it useful, due to the move being effective against Dragons (There are a lot of Dragon bosses and enemies late game), and similarly holding the button allows you to go into a fairly solid, mostly earth element oriented derivative melee combo. Placing Vanguard on the extra skill row and holding it allows Eleanor to perform a derivative 4 hit, non elemental melee combo. Thanks to the extra skill row and derivative artes, (Virtuoso's and Wizards potentites respectively) Eleanor only needs Ice Edge and Flame Beast to gain access to all of her Malak artes. These are Martial arte and Malak arte sets ups that I would recommend for Eleanor. If you like playing quick characters, that have great AOE capabilities, flashy combos, and quite frankly causing havoc and destruction, while gracefully dancing all around the battlefield, you will probably enjoy playing as Eleanor. Her true strength though, lies in her being able to pull in and " juggle" multiple enemies with her attacks and easily applying status effects on them, which directly translates into more souls. Similarly most of her Malak artes have fairly short cast time, but in exchange most of them are mid-range, apart from Maelstrom. Her martial artes are really fast, and most of them have really good reach, in a couple of cases even being able to hit enemies behind her. Just like Eizen, she is the only other character in this game that uses both Martial artes and Malak artes. If I were to use one phrase to describe Eleanor as a playable character in this game it would be " Easy to learn, tough to master".

So why should you learn how to play Eleanor? In addition, I'll leave the link to my previous post, since it contains, some tips for casters in general and it also has information on how to acquire certain potentites, that are required to do some of the things I will talk about here. As you might have guessed from the title, in this one I'm gonna be talking about Eleanor. Some people enjoyed my previous write up, where I covered Eizen, so I decided to make a couple more of these, for other characters as well.
